About the role

This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with shop floor leadership, driving the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, including soft tooling, PLC programming, and automated systems. You will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, quality performance, and continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer (Soft Tool / Tool Room), you'll be responsible for:

• Leading and supervising technicians and shop floor personnel, ensuring effective execution of daily manufacturing activities.
• Developing, modifying, and optimizing PLC programs for automated production systems.
• Designing and coordinating tooling (dies) and processes within the Tool Room (sheet metal environment).
• Managing and executing projects from scratch, including tooling design and program development (soft tool).
• Supporting and optimizing assembly processes, automated material handling, and End-of-Line (EOL) testing systems.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment such as conveyors, lifts, turntables, and transfer mechanisms.
• Analyzing production data to improve First Pass Yield and reduce defects.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards, including LOTO and machine safeguarding.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are analytical, results-driven, hands-on leaders with strong technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3 Experience in manufacturing engineering, including automated systems, PLC programming, and assembly lines.
• Experience leading technicians or shop floor teams.
• Knowledge of tooling, dies, sheet metal processes, and Tool Room operations.
• Experience in project development from concept to implementation (soft tooling and programming).

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

• Experience with CAM and RADAN programming.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, CANbus).
• Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, or industrial vision systems.
• Experience with HVAC testing systems or similar diagnostic platforms.
• Experience working with smart DC torque tools and measurement systems.

Benefits

We offer a competitive total rewards package that may include other benefits and well‑being programs. Offerings vary by role and location and are designed to support employees’ health, security, and success.
