About the role
The Travel Technical Trainer will be responsible for providing instruction at various distributor locations on VRF, Ductless, and Residential HVAC equipment, as well as within the Technical Training Center. Additionally, the Trainer will contribute to content development in support of the HVAC Technical Training Center curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courses for distributor and dealer customers, covering VRF, Ductless, and Residential HVAC equipment, along with technical HVAC concepts, service, and installation best practices.
- Create content to support the curriculum, including presentations and hands-on activities with participants.
- Motivate and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.
- Work with the Technical Training Team and subject matter experts to create and deliver accurate, current, and relevant content.
- Proficiency in hands-on training delivery methods and development requirements.
- Experience coordinating product-related trainings, including new features, installation, service, and troubleshooting simulations.
- Expertise in developing technical HVAC training courses for various skill levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced).
- Ability to listen to end-user requirements, identify trends in feedback, and outline plans to address user needs.
- Capability to manage relationships with subject matter experts to foster partnerships in content development.
- Skill in reviewing and evaluating content and delivery from the learner's perspective to determine necessary improvements.
- Experience delivering classroom and hands-on training.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional customer service skills with keen attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of service and/or install experience in the HVAC field, with working knowledge of VRF systems, Ductless solutions, and Residential HVAC equipment and their respective functions.
- 1+ years of training experience.
- Capability to frequently travel from 50-75% of the time within the United States (US), Canada, and other regions of North America, with the possibility of further expansion.

- STRONGLY PREFERRED ABILTY TO RELCOCATE TO INDANAPOLIS
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
- Have a combination of excellent technical skills, be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers.
- Have a personality defined by positivity, responsibility, integrity, accountability, and respect culminating in a strong work ethic.

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is $98,750.–$138,250.Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
