About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong individual for – Mobile Test Automation & SmartTester Platform to lead the next evolution of our enterprise mobile testing platform.

This role is not a traditional QA leadership position. The successful candidate will own the vision, architecture, engineering, and enterprise adoption of a next-generation No-Code/Low-Code Mobile Test Automation Platform that accelerates quality engineering across Android, iOS, Web, and future device ecosystems.

The individual will lead the development of SmartTester’s mobile capabilities, drive innovation using AI and automation, establish testing standards across products, and create a scalable platform that enables teams to build, execute, and maintain automated test suites with minimal engineering effort.

This role combines platform engineering, quality transformation, AI innovation, product ownership, and technical leadership

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Ownership

• Own the end-to-end vision, roadmap, and delivery of SmartTester Mobile Platform.

• Define platform strategy for Android, iOS, Hybrid, Flutter, React Native, and Cross-Platform applications.

• Build and scale an enterprise-grade No-Code/Low-Code mobile automation platform.

• Drive platform adoption across multiple business units and engineering teams.

• Define platform success metrics and ROI measurements.

Mobile Automation Engineering

Lead the design and development of:

• Cross-platform test automation framework

• Device cloud integration

• Mobile test orchestration engines

• Parallel execution frameworks

• Test reporting and analytics dashboards

• Self-healing automation capabilities

• AI-assisted test creation and maintenance

• CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines

Develop reusable automation assets and accelerators that significantly reduce test creation and execution effort.

AI-Powered Quality Engineering

Drive innovation through AI-enabled testing by developing capabilities such as:

• Natural Language to Test Case Generation

• Requirements-to-Test Automation

• AI Test Data Generation

• Intelligent Defect Analysis

• Automated Root Cause Identification

• Impact Analysis

• Autonomous Regression Testing

• AI Test Optimisation

Partner with AI engineering teams to integrate GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities into the testing lifecycle.

Act as the Product owner and Architect for SmartTester Mobile.

Define standards for:

• Test Automation Architecture

• Mobile Device Management

• Test Data Management

• Security and Compliance

• Scalability and Reliability

• Reporting and Analytics

• Framework Governance

Provide technical guidance across all mobile automation initiatives.

Product Strategy & Innovation

• Define future roadmap for SmartTester Mobile.

• Scout emerging mobile testing technologies and platforms.

• Evaluate open-source and commercial testing tools.

• Create proof-of-concepts for new automation capabilities.

• Introduce industry best practices into enterprise testing.

Continuously drive innovation to improve quality, speed, and developer experience.

DevOps & Continuous Testing

Establish enterprise standards for:

• CI/CD Integration

• Continuous Testing

• Release Validation

• Shift-Left Quality

• Automation Metrics

• Pipeline Quality Gates

Ensure SmartTester becomes an integral part of engineering delivery pipelines.

Requirements

Requires advanced to expert knowledge obtained through advanced education, combined with experience
Substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems to make enhancements within job area
University Degree or equivalent
A minimum of 7 years prior relevant experience
OR
An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience
