About the role

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuity of supply for equipment, spare parts, and materials across Carrier Transicold operations. You will be responsible for managing the complete supply process, from purchase order placement and supplier follow-up to logistics coordination, import documentation, and material receipt. Your work will directly impact material availability, customer satisfaction, and operational performance across Mexico and Panama.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

• Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders with intercompany plants and external suppliers.

• Coordinate with suppliers, forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

• Monitor open orders, shipment status, lead times, and critical supply risks to maintain continuity of operations.

• Support import and export processes by coordinating documentation, customs clearance, and logistics activities.

• Track backorders, expedite critical materials, and collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, and Sales teams to resolve supply issues.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are proactive, analytical, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced supply chain environment. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or materials management.

• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and material availability.

• Knowledge of import/export processes, international logistics, and supplier coordination.

• Advanced Excel skills, ERP experience (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar), and advanced English communication skills.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

• Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers.

• Knowledge of Incoterms and international transportation processes.

• Experience supporting supply chain operations across multiple countries or regions.
