Student Project Assistant – Business, Data & Digitalization

Padborg, Denmark | Part-time, approx. 10 hours/week | 6-month fixed-term position

Role purpose

Are you studying engineering, economics, business or a related field and interested in using data, technology and AI to solve real business problems?

We are looking for a hands-on Student Project Assistant to support improvement and digitalization projects within our service operation in Padborg.

This is not a role where you will only analyse data and make presentations. You will work with a problem from analysis to implementation: understanding the data and processes, identifying opportunities, proposing practical solutions and helping implement the changes together with the team.

Projects will combine business analysis, data, digital tools and practical implementation. Depending on the project, implementation could mean digital implementation, establish new working processes or physically help reorganize how our physical inventory is managed.

You will have the opportunity to work with real operational challenges, take ownership of defined projects and see the direct results of your work.

Key responsibilities

You will support and, progressively, take ownership of improvement projects such as:

• Work directly with colleagues in service, workshop and administration to understand how we work.
• Analyse data from different systems using Excel, AI and other digital tools to structure large amounts of information and turn data into conclusions.
• Translate analytical conclusions into practical actions and implement agreed improvements, rather than stopping at recommendations.
• Complete the implementations, both digitally and physically.
• Document improvements and new working processes supporting the use and maintenance of the improvement, creating long lasting impact.

Examples of projects

The exact projects may evolve according to business priorities, but initial areas could include:

Warehouse and inventory improvement
Analyse consumption and inventory data, help define a better inventory structure and then work with the Padborg team to physically and digitally implement the new setup.

Telematics and contract reconciliation
Analyse equipment registered in our telematics systems against active customer contracts, identify discrepancies and support correction/creation of missing contracts.

Salesforce contract pricing
Analyse and propose contract pricing and implement it, so that standardized contract-pricing models can be used improving quoting efficiency.

Customer/partner discounts and alignment
Compare customer/partners discount structures in different business systems, identify inconsistencies and propose and support implementation the of a harmonized structur

Requirements

• Currently studying toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, economics, business, data science, supply chain or another relevant field.
• Comfortable working with numbers, data and spreadsheets, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to the details.
• Able to work independently on clearly defined projects while collaborating with different colleagues.
• Comfortable communicating in Danish orEnglish.
• Able to work sometimes from our Padborg location and therefore having a practical way of travelling to Padborg.

Preferred qualifications

These are advantages, but not requirements:

• Interest in AI, automation and digital tools and curiosity about how these technologies can solve practical business problems.
• Experience with data analysis, Excel, Power BI, databases or similar tools.
• Interest in operations, supply chain, logistics, engineering or process improvement.
• Previous project, student-job or practical experience involving data or business processes.
• Comfortable moving between computer-based analytical work and practical implementation in an operational environment.

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this role is 178 dkk/hour for bachelor students, 187 dkk/month for masters students.
