Senior Manager, Global SCM CoE

Role Summary

The Logistics Excellence Lead – Supply Chain CoE will lead a team of logistics, analytics, and supply chain associates in driving strategic sourcing, logistics optimization, advanced analytics, AI-enabled decision-making, and cost reduction initiatives across global logistics and warehousing operations.

The incumbent will collaborate with global stakeholders, and business SCM leaders to execute logistics cost savings programs programs, network optimization, transportation analytics, TMS compliance, RFQs, and digital transformation initiatives that maximize value creation and operational efficiency.

This role will also drive the evolution of the Supply Chain CoE into a data-driven, analytics-led organization by leveraging AI/ML capabilities, predictive insights, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

A. Team Strategy & Transformation

• Strategic thinking with the ability to independently define priorities and execution roadmaps for the team

• Drive transformation initiatives across Logistics CoE and broader Supply Chain organization

• Translate business strategy into actionable execution plans and measurable outcomes

• Build and position Supply Chain CoE as a strategic partner through analytics-driven insights, execution excellence, and innovation

• Lead digital transformation initiatives involving AI, automation, data analytics, and process optimization

• Drive data-driven decision-making culture within the organization

B. Core Functional Expertise

Analytics & AI Enablement

• Drive supply chain analytics initiatives to improve visibility, forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and cost optimization

• Develop dashboards, KPI frameworks, and performance analytics for transportation, warehousing, inventory, and supplier performance

• Leverage AI tools and predictive analytics for:

  • Freight optimization

  • Route and network optimization

  • Exception management

  • Spend analytics and sourcing insights

• Drive automation opportunities across logistics operations and reporting processes

• Collaborate with digital, analytics, and IT teams to implement scalable analytics and AI solutions

Logistics & Sourcing Excellence

• Lead and execute global logistics and warehousing sourcing workstreams

• Own front-end accountability for productivity delivery, logistics cost optimization, and KPI performance from CoE organization

• Partner closely with Senior SCM Leadership, Global Commodity Managers, and business stakeholders

• Identify opportunities for process transitions into CoE and establish scalable operating models

• Establish and manage SLAs, governance mechanisms, and performance review frameworks

Domain Expertise

Deep knowledge and expertise in:

• Network modeling and optimization using tools such as Llamasoft / Coupa Supply Chain Guru

• Running global RFQs and sourcing events using tools like Coupa

• Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

• Warehouse design and optimization

• Logistics cost modeling and productivity tracking

• Supply chain analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)

• AI-enabled supply chain optimization and digital transformation initiatives

C. Cost Reduction & Continuous Improvement

• Lead strategic cost reduction initiatives across transportation, warehousing, and logistics operations

• Identify and execute productivity opportunities through network redesign, sourcing optimization, automation, and analytics

• Establish performance management cadence to track savings realization and operational improvements

D. People Leadership

• Excellent people management skills coupled with an empathetic and high-performance leadership style

• Proven track record of managing teams of 10–20+ resources in global/matrix environments

• Ability to work in a fast

• Build high-performing teams with strong focus on capability development in logistics, analytics, and digital skills

• Strong program and change management skills

• Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills across global and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech from a premier institute is mandatory; MBA from a reputed institute preferred

• 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management with strong exposure to CoE/shared services environments

• Strong experience in logistics, warehousing, sourcing, and supply chain transformation

• Deep understanding of:

  • Logistics sourcing and negotiations

  • Freight and warehousing optimization

  • Network design and modeling

  • Cost reduction and productivity programs

  • Supply chain analytics and digital transformation

• Exposure to analytics, AI/ML applications, automation, or data-driven supply chain initiatives preferred

• Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams

• Strong process orientation with continuous improvement mindset

Knowledge of visualization and analytics platforms such as Power BI/Tableau preferred
