About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vertex AI Specialist to design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning, Generative AI, and agent-based solutions using Vertex AI on Google Cloud.
This role focuses on leveraging Vertex AI as the core AI platform for end-to-end model development, LLM orchestration, agent creation, and enterprise-grade MLOps. The ideal candidate combines strong data science foundations, hands-on Vertex AI expertise, and practical experience building LLM-powered agents to solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, and deploy ML, GenAI, and agentic AI solutions using Vertex AI

• Build and manage end-to-end ML pipelines using Vertex AI Pipelines
• Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy models using Vertex AI Training and Prediction services
• Design and implement LLM-powered applications and AI agents using Vertex AI
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Vertex AI embeddings and vector search
• Develop and orchestrate single-agent and multi-agent workflows with tool/function calling
• Deploy scalable online and batch inference solutions using Vertex AI Endpoints
• Implement model monitoring, drift detection, and performance tracking using Vertex AI
• Integrate Vertex AI solutions with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, APIs, and enterprise systems
• Apply MLOps best practices including CI/CD, model versioning, and reproducibility
• Ensure security, governance, and cost optimization for AI workloads
• Collaborate with data engineers, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders
• Stay current with advancements in Vertex AI, LLMs, and agentic AI frameworks

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML, or Applied Machine Learning roles
• Strong hands-on experience building and deploying solutions using Vertex AI on Google Cloud
• Proven experience using Vertex AI for model training, evaluation, deployment, and lifecycle management
• Hands-on expertise with Vertex AI Pipelines for end-to-end workflow orchestration
• Experience working with Vertex AI Workbench and managed notebook environments
• Strong experience deploying models using Vertex AI Endpoints for online and batch prediction
• Experience with Vertex AI Model Monitoring, drift detection, and performance analytics
• Hands-on experience with Vertex AI Vector Search and embedding-based similarity search
• Strong experience building Generative AI and LLM-based solutions using Vertex AI (managed LLMs such as Gemini, custom, or open-source models)
• Practical experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage
• Hands-on experience creating AI agents with tool/function calling, memory, and multi-step reasoning
• Exposure to multi-agent orchestration patterns and agent-based workflow design
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering and prompt optimization strategies
• Solid foundation in statistics, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques
• Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Experience working with large-scale datasets using BigQuery
• Strong understanding of MLOps practices, including CI/CD, model versioning, and reproducibility
• Experience with Docker, Git-based workflows, and cloud-native deployments
• Knowledge of IAM, security, governance, and cost optimization for AI workloads on Google Cloud
• Ability to translate complex business problems into scalable Vertex AI–based solutions
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across cross-functional teams
