About the Job:
Experienced Senior Network Engineer responsible for the architecture, design, implementation,
optimization, and support of large-scale enterprise, service provider, and hybrid cloud network
infrastructures. This role ensures high availability, security, scalability, and performance across
multi-vendor and multi-cloud environments, while driving best practices in automation, SDWAN, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support scalable network architectures across data center,
enterprise, WAN, and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environments
Lead complex deployments involving routing, switching, SD-WAN, security, and
cloud networking
Architect and deploy Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) solutions for WAN transformation and
optimization
Develop and execute Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation to ensure minimal risk
and downtime
Review, validate, and approve network changes aligned with ITIL-based change
management processes
Integrate network infrastructure with cloud-native services (VPCs, VNets, hybrid
connectivity, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute)
Perform advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting across mission-critical, hybrid
environments
Optimize network performance using routing policy design, QoS, and traffic engineering
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Security, DevOps, Operations, Vendors)
Ensure high availability through resilient designs (HSRP, VRRP, VPC, HA firewalls,
multi-region cloud architectures)
Maintain and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms
Support lifecycle management (deployment, upgrades, decommissioning)
Maintain accurate documentation (network diagrams, configurations, CMDB)
Participate in on-call rotations and provide escalation support for critical incidents
Technical Responsibilities
Design and manage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN,
and VPN technologies
Implement and support Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), including controllers (vManage,
vSmart, vBond)
Deploy and manage cloud networking:
o AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect)
o Azure (VNet, ExpressRoute)
o GCP (VPC, Cloud Interconnect)
Configure and manage next-generation firewalls, especially Palo Alto Networks
(PAN-OS, Panorama)
Deploy and manage Cisco Meraki solutions (MX, MS, MR) for branch and campus
environments
Implement secure connectivity using IPSEC, GRE, DMVPN, and site-to-site/remoteaccess VPNs
Support load balancing technologies (F5, cloud-native load balancers)
Implement network automation using Python, APIs, and Infrastructure-as-Code
(Terraform/Ansible)
Manage WAN connectivity including ISP integration, broadband, LTE/5G, and Metro
Ethernet
Implement traffic engineering using route filtering, redistribution, and policy-based
routing
Enforce network security best practices including segmentation, Zero Trust, and microsegmentation
Environment & Technologies
Vendors: Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, Arista, F5, A10, Meraki
Routing/Switching: Cisco Nexus (2K/5K/7K/9K), Catalyst (3K/4K/9K), ASR/ISR,
Arista 7280
SD-WAN: Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Meraki SD-WAN
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
Protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, STP, HSRP, VRRP
Security: Palo Alto Firewalls, IPSEC, VPNs, segmentation technologies
Tools: Infoblox, SolarWinds/Dynatrace/Datadog (or similar), Git, CI/CD pipelines,
automation frameworks
Qualifications
8–10+ years of experience in network engineering across enterprise, service provider, or
cloud environments
Strong expertise in routing, switching, SD-WAN, and network security (Palo Alto
preferred)
Hands-on experience with multi-cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with Cisco Meraki deployments and management
Proven ability to lead large-scale, high-impact network and cloud transformation projects
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, hybrid networking, and secure architecture design
Experience with automation, scripting, and DevOps methodologies
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
field
CCNP or CCIE (preferred)
Cisco DevNet Associate/Professional
Palo Alto Certifications (PCNSE preferred)
Cloud Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer, or GCP
Professional Network Engineer)
