About this role:
The Quality & Continuous Improvement Lead owns the execution of the long-term quality strategy and operational direction for a Carrier manufacturing facility. This role sets strategies and develops projects and processes to ensure continuous quality improvement, partnering with key stakeholders including Engineering, the factory, suppliers, and the field. The Lead provides guidance and leadership across the organization in implementing plans and procedures that drive the achievement of quality goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishes and implements the long-term quality strategy — plans, guidelines, policies, and processes — to ensure achievement of quality targets.
Leads development of projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
Leads teams collecting and analyzing quality data from multiple sources to shape quality strategy and programs.
Leads production-process analyses, ensuring standards are met and recommending improvements (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D).
Owns the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), audits, and management reviews.
Leads customer satisfaction, warranty, and complaint resolution with a continuous-improvement mindset.
Owns quality KPIs (PPM, COPQ, First-Time Yield) and improvement roadmaps.
Develops and coaches the quality and quality engineering team.
Drive operational excellence and performance improvement.
Develop continuous improvement (CI) and quality capabilities across the site.
Lead operational excellence deployment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
8+ years of quality experience, including 3+ years leading quality teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical or Quality Engineering or related field.
Proven experience owning a Quality Management System (ISO 9001), including audits and management reviews.
Expert command of quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) and problem-solving (8D, root-cause analysis).
Demonstrated ability to build a quality/continuous-improvement culture and drive customer-satisfaction and warranty performance.
Track record improving quality KPIs (PPM, COPQ, First-Time Yield).
Six Sigma Black Belt and/or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification strongly preferred.
Experience in high-growth or fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Collaborative, bias for action, customer-centric and solution-oriented.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.Benefits
