About the role
As a Supplier Development Leader, you will help strengthen supplier performance by supporting supplier assessments, driving process improvements, and ensuring suppliers are prepared to meet production and quality expectations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to supplier readiness for new product introductions, capacity improvements, and operational excellence initiatives that support Carrier's global manufacturing network.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supplier Development Leader, you'll be responsible for:
Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate manufacturing capacity, production readiness, process capability, and operational performance.
Support supplier improvement initiatives by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and tracking progress to closure.
Partner with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes using Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, and Strategic Sourcing teams to support supplier readiness and performance objectives.
Support supplier readiness activities for new product introductions (NPI), production ramp-ups, and capacity expansion projects.
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations.
Experience supporting supplier performance improvements, manufacturing processes, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone), Lean Manufacturing principles, and process improvement tools.
Ability to travel up to 25–50% as required.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Master's degree or advanced technical education.
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), APQP, PPAP, or PFMEA activities.
Experience working directly with suppliers in a manufacturing environment and participating in cross-functional improvement projects.
