About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our team covering the Inverness area. This field-based role offers a mix of depot and on-site work across Northwest Scotland – an ideal opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience looking to take their career to the next level.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Service, maintain, and repair pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment in both depot and field environments.
Prepare and inspect equipment at the depot to ensure it is fully operational before deployment.
Carry out major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.
Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
Work closely with the service team, hire controller, and foreman to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Keep your working environment organised and equipment maintained to the highest standards.
Travel to customer sites and participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota.
What We’re Looking For:
Mechanical experience, ideally with plant equipment, pumps, generators, or diesel engines.
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, M&E apprenticeship, or equivalent.
Full UK Driving Licence.
