About the role
Looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Layout Design Engineer with a strong background in Altium Designer Pro, Cadence Allegro, PADS and Zuken. The candidate will be responsible for translating schematic designs into high-quality PCB layouts while ensuring compliance with electrical, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements. The role requires close collaboration with hardware, component engineering, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
Create PCB layouts for complex analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF, power electronics, and embedded systems designs.
Develop multilayer PCB designs including high-speed interfaces, differential pairs, controlled impedance traces, and high-current power paths.
Perform component placement, routing, stack-up definition, and design optimization for electrical, thermal, EMC/EMI, and manufacturability requirements.
Create and maintain PCB footprints, schematic symbols, and component libraries.
Conduct PCB design reviews, Gerber reviews, DFM/DFT reviews, and layout sign-off activities.
Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure design intent is correctly implemented.
Collaborate with mechanical teams to resolve enclosure, mounting, thermal, and packaging constraints.
Support prototype builds, debugging, root-cause analysis, and design improvements.
Interface with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve manufacturing issues.
Ensure compliance with applicable design standards, safety requirements, creepage/clearance rules, and regulatory guidelines.
Drive continuous improvement in layout methodologies, design checklists, and engineering best practices.
Support ECAD tool administration, library management, and design process documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
5 to 8 years of experience in library management and PCB Design.
Proficiency in Altium Designer pro and Cadence Allegro tools is a must.
Strong understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of UL, IEC, IPC, and other relevant industry standards.
Familiarity with SI/PI analysis tools.
Experience working with PLM systems such as Windchill.
Exposure to Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT)
