About this role / Job Summary

The Ariba Catalog Enablement Specialist / Lead will enable, maintain, test, adopt, and govern supplier catalogs within SAP Ariba. The role will manage supplier catalog onboarding, PunchOut and CIF / hosted catalog implementation, catalog configuration and troubleshooting, UAT and go-live readiness, catalog adoption reporting, and stakeholder coordination with Procurement Operations, Supplier Management, Category Managers, AMS, Digital, IT, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Catalog Enablement

• Support supplier onboarding and enablement into the SAP Ariba catalog environment, including supplier Ariba Network relationship setup and registration coordination.

• Manage catalog implementation projects across categories and regions for PunchOut and CIF / hosted catalogs.

• Coordinate with suppliers, category managers, procurement operations, AMS, IT, and master-data teams to resolve missing information and enable go-live readiness.

• Maintain implementation trackers, action logs, risks, dependencies, and escalation visibility.

Catalog Configuration, Administration & Issue Resolution

• Manage incoming supplier catalogs, catalog subscriptions, catalog content updates, approver assignment checks, and catalog administration activities.

• Investigate catalog data issues, connectivity defects, price/content mismatches, transaction failures, and catalog escalations.

• Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, AMS, master data, Ariba support, and internal business owners.

• Document standard operating procedures, configuration decisions, and lessons learned for repeatable catalog enablement.

Testing, Deployment & Go-Live Support

• Define and execute catalog test scenarios, UAT plans, transaction validation, supplier connectivity checks, and go-live readiness validation.

• Coordinate test profiles, buyer / requester validation, issue tracking, defect closure, and deployment support.

• Support hypercare during launch and ensure operational handover to support teams after stabilization.

• Ensure catalog changes align with procurement channels, preferred supplier strategy, and business controls.

Catalog Adoption, Reporting & Governance

• Drive catalog utilization, preferred supplier adoption, and spend reallocation toward approved catalog suppliers.

• Track and report catalog adoption KPIs, productivity metrics, supplier performance, catalog utilization, and spend analytics.

• Support contract expiration tracking, supplier contract alignment, and coordination with category managers.

• Create user training materials, quick reference guides, supplier communications, and adoption campaigns.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, IT, or related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

  • 4+ years of experience in procurement operations, SAP Ariba catalog enablement, supplier enablement, P2P, eProcurement, or catalog administration.

  • Practical understanding of SAP Ariba catalog processes, PunchOut, CIF / hosted catalogs, supplier onboarding, UAT, and catalog troubleshooting.

  • Experience coordinating suppliers, category managers, procurement operations, AMS, IT, and master-data stakeholders.

  • Strong Excel / reporting, issue-resolution, stakeholder management, documentation, and project-tracking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a global procurement CoE or shared-services model supporting multi-region catalog deployment.

  • Knowledge of supplier master data, contract data, Ariba Network, Guided Buying, buying channels, and preferred supplier governance.

  • Exposure to catalog analytics, spend leakage reduction, compliance monitoring, and adoption dashboards.

  • Lean Six Sigma, SAP Ariba certification, project management, or Agile exposure preferred.

  • Ability to translate catalog gaps into process fixes, training interventions, and adoption improvement plans.

Success Measures / KPIs

  • Increased catalog utilization and preferred supplier adoption.

  • On-time catalog implementations with effective testing, go-live readiness, and hypercare completion.

  • Reduced catalog errors, escalations, non-catalog buying, and supplier transaction defects.

  • Improved visibility through adoption reporting, spend analytics, and implementation trackers.

  • Stronger alignment between catalog coverage, supplier strategy, contracts, and procurement channels.
