About the Role
As Senior Manager – EHS & Facilities, you will lead and sustain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible operating environment across the plant. This role is a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, bringing strong business judgment, operational sensitivity, and visible leadership to balance safety, compliance, and operational performance.
You will drive a strong Safety First culture, ensure compliance with local and corporate regulations, and actively engage on the shop floor to identify risks, implement preventive controls, and enable operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe working environment through preventive controls, monitoring, and compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements

  • Ensure compliance with Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) and regulations from the Ministry of Health, Civil Protection, and environmental authorities

  • Lead EHS risk assessments and develop, implement, and sustain programs to eliminate or reduce operational, environmental, and safety risks

  • Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, and environmental performance indicators.

  • Conduct in‑depth environmental portfolio analysis to identify compliance gaps and improvement opportunities.

  • Establish, track, and execute action plans to maintain compliance and reduce risk.

  • Lead internal and external audits of the EHS Management System across manufacturing and service locations.

  • Communicate global EHS initiatives and performance results to senior leadership and EHS teams.

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of manufacturing processes to anticipate risks and implement effective controls.

  • Ensure EHS strategies are aligned with productivity, quality, and business objectives.

  • Ensure facilities comply with regulatory and safety requirements, including emergency exits, evacuation routes, fire protection systems, signage, and infrastructure standards.

  • Partner with site leadership to define and deploy effective EHS and facilities controls.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance, risk prevention, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in EHS roles within manufacturing or operational environments.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams or managing large‑scale initiatives.

  • Prior experience in operational roles (manufacturing, quality, operations, engineering, or support functions); not limited to administrative safety roles.

  • Proven experience as part of a plant leadership team.

  • Strong problem‑solving, risk analysis, and decision‑making skills.

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

  • Occupational health / medical experience is a plus.
