About the role
Bring Quality into the development process early so electrical and electronic product risks can be addressed before production. Help new products move from development into production with the appropriate Quality controls and readiness in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the NPD Quality lead for the Electrical & Electronic CIPT area, including control boxes, VFDs, PCBAs, wire harnesses and related electronic components.
- Provide end-to-end Quality ownership for the assigned area from early product development through production launch and transition to sustaining Quality.
- Drive Quality activities across design reviews, APQP, Passport reviews, prototype and MCS builds, PPAP readiness and production launch.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and other cross-functional teams to identify risks and drive open Quality actions to closure.
- Review FPY, defects, test failures, rework and other build data to identify issues and support corrective action.
- Track Quality readiness and open risks for assigned programs and communicate gaps to the CIPT and program teams.
- Apply lessons learned and Look Across from existing products and programs to help prevent repeat issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and Process Flow methodologies.
- Experience with product launches, process validation, and change management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Advanced English proficiency preferred.
