Job Responsibilities

  • Design and lead strategies focused on reducing escapes and warranty expenses through effective prevention and detection controls (product and process audits, functional test certifications such as run test, leak test, etc.), ensuring compliance with internal quality standards, applicable regulations, and customer requirements.

  • Implement monitoring and detection controls to ensure that critical product/process characteristics or other critical variables that could affect certifications (AHRI, ASME) meet engineering drawing specifications, using methodologies such as ProCert.

  • Ensure timely and proper execution of problem‑solving projects, as well as the long‑term effectiveness of implemented solutions.

  • Generate and follow up on problem‑solving projects using structured methodologies such as 8D, A3, and 4‑Blocker, addressing high‑impact issues required to keep performance indicators within targets (warranty expenses, CE PPM, scrap, RR, FPY, CPKs, rework, and repairs).

  • Maintain updated and active departmental documentation related to the quality management system, ensuring process maturity in alignment with Carrier Excellence Impact‑Maturity guidelines.

  • Actively participate in the maturity and robustness of operational processes through the use of Process FMEAs, Control Plans, and process certifications.

Job Objective

Implement and lead quality strategies focused on reducing escapes and warranty costs through effective prevention and detection controls (product and process audits, functional test certifications such as run test and leak test). Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable certifications (AHRI, ASME), guaranteeing that critical product and process characteristics meet engineering specifications.

Monitor and ensure the effective execution of problem‑solving projects using structured methodologies (8D’s, A3, 4‑Blocker), to maintain key performance indicators within established targets. Contribute to the maturity and robustness of operational processes through the use of Process FMEA, Control Plans, process certifications, and maintenance of the quality management system aligned with Carrier Excellence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: 1.5+ years

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields (IMA, IME, IIS or similar).

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in Quality Core Tools and PPAPs

    • Experience with 8D methodology

    • Knowledge of statistical control, refrigeration, assembly processes, and drawing interpretation

  • Language: Conversational English
