Mgr, Software Engrg

Role Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AHU engineering software solutions, from requirements definition to deployment and sustainment.
• Translate engineering rules into scalable, maintainable solutions using Java.
• Drive technical decision-making, including architecture, implementation approach, and tool selection.
• Act as the primary point of contact for feasibility assessments, technical evaluations, and solution design.
• Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
• Write well-designed, testable code.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Lead team coordination efforts, including task prioritization, workload distribution, and execution tracking.
• Facilitate or support Scrum ceremonies.
• Ensure alignment between stakeholder priorities and development execution.
• Mentor and guide team members on technical implementation strategies and best practices.
• Oversee ticket creation, backlog management, and sprint planning processes.
• Ensure adherence to development standards, documentation practices, and quality expectations.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and ownership gaps, and drive mitigation actions.
• Lead bug triage, prioritization, and resolution strategy.
• Oversee support processes to ensure timely resolution and minimal business disruption.
• Maintain and improve system reliability, stability, and performance.
• Oversee compilation, deployment, and server-side validation processes.
• Ensure release readiness, stability, and proper validation before production rollout.
• Identify and address gaps in deployment and testing ownership.

Role Purpose:

• Develop and maintain software-based engineering tools supporting AHU product development and sustaining activities.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of key engineering systems, from design through deployment and support.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure robust, scalable, and high‑quality solutions.
• Drive alignment between business needs and technical solutions, enabling efficient decision‑making.
• Coordinate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution.
• Ensure reliable system performance and continuous improvement of engineering tools and processes.
• Support the evolution of digital engineering capabilities within the AHU platform.
• Contribute to high‑impact projects that enhance product performance, efficiency, and innovation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced (+7 years) programming experience using Java/JavaScript or C/C++.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Java Language.
• Knowledge in XML language for defining, storing, and sharing data.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and Perforce software version control tools.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical and learning skills.
• Experience with Agile and scrum methodology.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong adaptability to new technologies and tools.
• Effective time management skills.
