About the role

As a Manager, Commodity Management & Sourcing, you will lead global sourcing strategies and drive supplier performance for key product categories, including Copper & Aluminum Fabrications and Valves. You will play a crucial role in optimizing quality, cost, and delivery, while developing strategic sourcing plans that support Carrier’s global operations and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager, Commodity Management & Sourcing, you’ll be responsible for:

• Providing strategic leadership and oversight for assigned commodities to maximize business value.

• Leading and mentoring cross-functional sourcing teams to meet operational, financial, and quality goals.

• Conducting spend analysis and operational assessments, and executing annual sourcing strategies.

• Driving supplier negotiations, performance management, and operational support.

• Awarding contracts within established spending limits and identifying new qualified suppliers.

• Partnering with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and optimize category strategies.

• Analyzing supplier operations to ensure competitive pricing, high quality, and reliable delivery.

• Developing long-term commodity strategies and managing key supplier relationships.

• Leading the full sourcing cycle from RFQ to contract signature.

• Ensuring supplier performance meets delivery, quality, and cost expectations.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in global commodity management, supply chain, procurement, or a related business discipline.

• Proven experience managing commodities such as Copper & Aluminum Fabrications and Valves.

• Strong communication skills and solid business acumen.

• Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop cross-functional teams.

• Demonstrated success engaging global stakeholders and delivering measurable results.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

• MBA or advanced degree.

• Experience in HVAC procurement or manufacturing environments.

• Experience solving complex problems with both tangible and intangible variables.
