Role Overview

The Product Marketing Leader is responsible for driving the end-to-end product marketing strategy and execution for RLC and VRF portfolio. This role owns the connection between market needs and product solutions, bridge between customer needs and product management / engineering teams, supporting go-to-market strategies, value propositions, and commercial success.

The role requires ownership of key initiatives, strong cross-functional leadership without direct authority, and the ability to influence stakeholders across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Portfolio Development

  • Drive product concept development for prioritized opportunities, partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering teams.

  • Work with sales team and key external customers to develop product roadmaps

  • Influence product roadmap decisions by identifying gaps, customer needs, and differentiation opportunities.

  • Key contact for regulatory compliance—monitoring requirements, aligning with factories, and ensuring products meet updated standards.

  • Develop robust business cases including pricing strategy, margin structure, and volume forecasts; collaborate with GES and cross-functional teams through key approval gates.

Make Vs Buy Strategy and Execution

  • Strategic Assessment: Develop and maintain Make vs. Buy decision frameworks. Align recommendations with business strategy, growth plans, and operating model.

  • Business Case Development: Including all key parameters like commodity costs, W2W GM etc..

  • Technology and product specs and feature evaluation.

  • Risk assessment and sensitivity analysis.

Cross-functional Leadership / Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with:

    • Sales team

    • Product teams

    • Engineering

    • Procurement

    • Finance

    • Legal and Compliance

  • Facilitate decision-making forums and executive reviews.

  • Act as a key interface between sales, product management and engineering teams.

  • Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functions to deliver business objectives without direct reporting authority.

Execution and Governance

  • Drive implementation of approved make or buy decisions.

  • Establish governance processes and stage gates.

  • Track benefits realization against approved business cases.

  • Manage product transition plans and phase-in/out.

Market & GTM Strategy Leadership

  • For key and emerging markets: Work closely with customers to understand and define market sizing, segmentation, regulatory landscape, and competitor benchmarking to identify growth opportunities.

  • Translate insights into actionable product and portfolio strategies aligned with GES / SEA / AME business priorities.

  • Define target customer segments, channel etc. to guide product positioning and GTM plans.

  • Own product positioning, messaging, and value propositions to ensure clear differentiation in the market.

Key Competencies

Individual should possess the capacity to work in a dynamic environment and demonstrate the ability to use decision-making abilities and technical capability to assist in meeting customer needs across dynamic regional market segments.

  • Foundational skills for this role include general HVAC design and application principles, project management, speaking in public, general engineering aptitude.

  • Strong understanding of product marketing frameworks, go-to-market strategy, and value-based selling

  • Proven ability to develop business cases and influence product decisions.

  • Strong communication and multi-functional influencing skills to align suppliers, engineering, sales, marketing, product management, after-market and leadership team.

  • Experience working in cross-functional and regional environments.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

  • Results-oriented with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
