About this role:

Carrier is redefining how Ductless (DLS) and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems operate — embedding intelligent connectivity, remote diagnostics, AI-driven optimization, and ecosystem-wide integration across residential and light commercial environments.

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Product Management to lead digital strategy and execution across DLS and VRF — two technically sophisticated, high-growth segments.

This is a domain leadership role. You will define strategy, lead a team of Product Managers, and deliver measurable business impact across connected assets, analytics, and service enablement. You will operate at the intersection of hardware engineering, firmware, cloud, IoT, analytics, and commercial strategy — shaping how physical systems become intelligent platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the digital strategy and multi-year roadmap across DLS and VRF
  • Lead and develop a team of Product Managers
  • Deliver scalable, reliable digital capabilities at global scale
  • Drive measurable business outcomes — not just ship features
  • Influence hardware, controls, and connectivity decisions early in product development
  • Identify convergence and reuse opportunities across product lines

Strategy & Differentiation

  • Define a 2–3-year digital vision across DLS and VRF aligned to residential and light commercial growth strategy
  • Identify high-impact opportunities in predictive analytics, remote diagnostics, AI optimization, and energy intelligence
  • Shape domain-level differentiation through software and connected services
Align with broader Carrier digital platform and data initiatives

Execution at Scale

  • Establish disciplined roadmap governance across multiple workstreams
  • Oversee backlog prioritization and release sequencing
  • Ensure technical scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Balance speed with operational rigor

Business & Commercial Impact

  • Define and own domain-level KPIs tied to connected penetration, adoption, service efficiency, and revenue enablement
  • Build and defend business cases for digital investments
  • Partner with Commercial and Finance leaders to deliver measurable ROI
Drive connected asset growth across both portfolios

Technical & Systems Leadership

  • Engage deeply in architecture decisions across firmware, IoT connectivity, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise integrations
  • Ensure seamless integration into Carrier’s broader digital ecosystem (Smart Home App, Service Tools, Portals, Analytics Platforms)
  • Champion scalable, reusable platform components

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and elevate Product Managers
  • Raise the bar on product discovery, prioritization, and outcome accountability
  • Build a culture of ownership, clarity, and disciplined execution

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 + years of product management experience in complex, connected, or technical B2B environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience owning strategy and execution across a meaningful product domain
  • Prior experience leading and developing Product Managers
  • Strong technical fluency across IoT systems, hardware-software integration, APIs, and cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Executive presence and comfort operating in a matrixed, engineering-heavy environment
  • Experience in HVAC, building automation, industrial IoT, or advanced equipment systems is highly valued.

Benefits:
