About the role

Drive cross‑engineering initiatives, establishing robust design review cadence, enabling engineering tools and data systems, and ensuring strong linkage between engineering execution, finance, and strategic plans. This role acts as the backbone of engineering operations, governance, communication, and strategic documentation across the engineering organization

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and institutionalize engineering review cadence across functions and programs (weekly, monthly, quarterly reviews).
  • Lead engineering communications, including:
    • Leadership updates
    • Review summaries, Newsletters
    • Governance documents and playbooks
  • Own engineering meeting governance, including agenda structuring, preparation, facilitation, Minutes of Meeting (MoM), action tracking, and closure discipline.
  • Drive key strategic and operational initiatives cutting across engineering disciplines and product lines.
  • Act as a central point of coordination for engineering transformation, productivity, and excellence initiatives
  • Lead the deployment, governance, and adoption of engineering quality and risk tools such as:
    • QFD (Quality Function Deployment)
    • FMEA (Design / Process FMEA)
    • DOE etc.
  • Provide guidance, best practices, and compliance tracking for tool usage across engineering teams
  • Maintain & refine engineering dashboards covering:
    • Program health (quality, cost, delivery, risk)
    • Productivity and efficiency of metrics
    • Tool adoption and process compliance
  • Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and management‑ready visualization.
  • Act as the engineering interface to Finance for:
    • Engineering budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking
    • Productivity, cost reduction, and savings validation
  • Track engineering spending, benefits realization, and linkage to strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate development and maintenance of:
    • AOP (Annual Operating Plan)
    • LRP (Long‑Range Plan) engineering inputs
  • Translate strategy into measurable initiatives, milestones, and governance mechanisms.
  • Track execution against AOP commitments and strategic objectives

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Bachelors / Master’s degree , PMP, Six-Sigma certification would be added advantage

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Experience in engineering, engineering operations, or technical program management

HVAC &R, Similar Industry preferred

Required Skills :

  • Strong capability in driving cross‑engineering initiatives, review cadence, stakeholder alignment.
  • Hands‑on experience with engineering dashboards, Managing projects.
  • Solid understanding of cross-functional activities and product development.
  • Excellent verbal & written Communication

Essential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set:

  • Excellent program management, coordination, and follow‑up discipline
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of engineering lifecycles, governance, and execution models
  • Experience with QFD, FMEA,DOE, and structured problem‑solving methods
  • Strong financial acumen related to engineering budgets and productivity
  • Data‑driven mindset with dashboarding and metrics orientation
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Competencies/ Secondary Skill Set:

  • Good understanding of the NPD cycle
  • HVAC products related codes & Standards and expert in compliance process
  • Localization process knowledge
  • Manufacturing process & quality control knowledge

OTHER COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong English communication skills - oral and written.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and products is necessary.
  • Passionate about building high-quality designs & implement in factories.
  • Self-starter who can work on his/her own initiative, balance demand load & prioritize
