Business Development Manager - Data Center

About the Role

Carrier is seeking a Business Development Manager – Data Center to drive strategic growth in the mission-critical cooling segment. This role will focus on market penetration, stakeholder engagement, and technical solution selling to expand Carrier’s presence in hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow market share in the data center segment

• Identify and pursue new opportunities across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and edge data center customers

• Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, developers, contractors, and key decision-makers

• Influence project specifications at early stages to position Carrier solutions

• Lead technical sales activities, including solution positioning, proposal development, and bid strategy

• Manage end-to-end project cycles: lead generation, qualification, tendering, contract negotiation, and handover

• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, service) to deliver tailored customer solutions

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support business growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, business development, or key account management

• Mandatory: Data Center experience, with proven track record in selling HVAC, cooling, or critical infrastructure solutions

• Strong experience managing full project lifecycle (spec influence → tender → negotiation → handover)

• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and commercial acumen

• Good command of English communication
