About the role
As a Sr. Category Manager, you will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for key commodities, driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and long-term value creation. This role plays a critical impact on business results by owning supplier relationships, leading commercial negotiations, and ensuring procurement supports new product development and operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Category Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Leading the development and execution of category/commodity strategies aligned with business and manufacturing goals
Owning commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and contract management to drive cost savings and value
Managing strategic supplier relationships through formal SRM processes to improve quality, delivery, and innovation
Driving sourcing initiatives including RFx processes, cost reduction, consolidation, and continuous improvement projects
Partnering with cross-functional teams (Engineering, NPD, Operations) to support new product development and sourcing decisions
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement
5+ years of experience in Category/Commodity Management
Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost management (TCO)
Ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Exposure to global sourcing and supplier management
Experience working with NPD (New Product Development) teams
