About the role
The FP&A Specialist is responsible for supporting financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis activities to enable informed business decision-making. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to analyze financial performance, manage operating and capital expenditures, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The position requires strong analytical capabilities, the ability to manage large data sets, and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance financial processes and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
As a FP&A Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:
- Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support business planning and operational decision-making.
- Review actual results versus forecasts and budgets, identify variances, and provide clear explanations and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Manage and update expense forecasts, including operational expenses and capital project controls.
- Analyze large and complex data sets to generate insights and support financial accuracy and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports using tools such as Excel, SAP, and Power BI.
- Execute accounting adjustments and accruals to ensure expenses are properly reflected in financial systems.
- Collaborate with internal customers to understand business drivers, explain financial results, and support corrective actions.
- Support month-end closing activities, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
- Participate in and support small-scale projects and ad hoc financial analysis initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement within FP&A activities.

- Ensure effective management and control of operating and capital expenditures.
- Improve financial processes through standardization, automation, and best practices.
- Support compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and/or accounting roles, preferably in FP&A environments.
- Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP; Ariba and Hyperion (HFM) are a plus.
- Power BI experience is a plus.
- Language
- Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
Soft skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Strong time and resource management skills.
