  • Leading cost reviews throughout the product lifecycle and ensuring alignment with engineering, supply chain, and operations.

  • Evaluating design alternatives, manufacturing strategies, and sourcing decisions to optimize cost, quality, and schedule.

  • Managing cross‑functional cost initiatives and coordinating with program managers to integrate financial insights into project schedules and executive reviews.

  • Identifying risks and opportunities early, proposing mitigation strategies, and influencing program direction.

  • Developing and maintaining detailed cost models, including BOM analysis, labor and overhead modeling, and scenario planning.

  • Performing variance analysis across material, labor, and manufacturing costs, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.

  • Monitoring cost performance against targets and forecasting impacts to product margins and financial plans.

  • Partnering with engineering, supply chain, and operations to evaluate design‑for‑cost opportunities and validate sourcing and manufacturing strategies.

  • Leading FP&A activities including forecasts, budgets, and performance reviews, while managing investment portfolios for new product development.

  • Preparing senior‑leadership‑level presentations on cost performance, investments, and financial risks.

  • Conducting productivity and efficiency analyses to identify long‑term structural cost improvements.

  • Presenting complex financial analyses with compelling executive storytelling to influence strategic decisions.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:

  • 6 - 8+ years of experience in product cost management, FP&A, manufacturing finance, or engineering finance.

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics.

  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and manage complex projects.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data visualization tools.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
