About the role
As the FP&A Manager for Automated Logic Field, you will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy and performance for one of Carrier’s most advanced building automation businesses. You will lead core financial planning processes, deliver insights that guide decision‑making, and partner closely with field leaders to ensure strong alignment between operational execution and financial goals. This high‑visibility role combines analytical rigor, business partnership, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
As the FP&A Manager – Automated Logic Field, you’ll be responsible for:
Core FP&A
- Leading the P&L roadmap process, explaining the “why” behind results and variances, and communicating a clear financial story to leadership.
- Managing HFM loads and consolidations to ensure timely and accurate financial submissions.
- Overseeing weekly orders reporting, functional cost tracking, and causal analysis to identify performance drivers.
- Maintaining and updating burden rates and service billable rates with high accuracy and transparency.
Budget & Compliance
- Driving budget compliance through monitoring of monthly spend fluctuations and ensuring proper variance explanations.
- Leading annual plan and forecast cycles for operating expenses aligned to business objectives.
- Partnering with Field, HR, and Finance to align headcount planning to workforce needs and business goals.
- Managing functional budgets across Digital, Sales, Operations, Service, and other key areas.
Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborating closely with field teams and leadership to ensure alignment between execution and financial targets.
- Developing executive‑ready reports that turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Driving improvements in forecasting accuracy, cost management, and reporting efficiency.
- Supporting ad‑hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and decision‑support activities.
Requirements
We are looking for people who are proactive, analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
As a minimum you must have:
- Experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or related analytical roles.
- Strong proficiency with financial systems such as HFM, SAP, or equivalent tools.
- Advanced analytical skills and Excel proficiency for complex modeling and data interpretation.
- Ability to translate financial insights into clear recommendations for leadership.
- Strong communication and business partnership skills across multiple functions.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
- Experience in building automation, HVAC, field operations, or similar industries.
- Exposure to forecasting tools or process automation.
- Knowledge of burden rate modeling and service rate structure.
