Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment.
  • Perform daily Forklift inspection and report issues to leadership if any identified during inspection.
  • Perform daily Crane inspections and report issues to leadership if any identified during inspection.
  • Works under direct supervision of Team lead.
  • Place reservation to 3PL to order all kanban parts needed.
  • Update reservation log daily for reservation placed. Close reservation upon receipt of material from 3PL.
  • Conduct hourly kanban walk to take note of all material that needs to be replenished.
  • Update and provide “no stock inventory report” updates twice a week on Wednesday and Friday to planners and production teams.
  • Responsible for putting away material to cage bin locations once received from 3PL.
  • Ensure kanban bins are filled in a timely fashion for floor return to minimize downtime on the production line.
  • Remove empties bins from production line for cage replenishment.
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities of the business depending on need.
  • Ability to work overtime and beyond 40 hours when needed to support production.
  • Responsible for the daily 5s ownership of desired work area.
  • Knowledge of parts required for production.
  • Flex workstations based on need.
  • Work with warehouse to ensure delivery of emergency orders.
  • Monitor Receiving sloc daily to ensure cage material is transacted daily from the sloc to bin location in cage.
  • Work daily with cycle count team to address inventory inaccuracies that may arise in cage bin locations.
  • Utilize SAP reports to analyze inventory discrepancies.
  • Material handler will input SAP transaction when needed.
  • Utilize effective and efficient communication with production team members and team lead.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 1+ year of forklift driving experience
  • 1+ year of experience in a high volume, high complexity, manufacturing environment
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience
  • Physically capable of working in a fast-paced, stop-and-go manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Alert, dependable, and safety-focused.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing material handling or similar industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of parts and materials required for production operations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to make quick decisions in support of a process-oriented operation.

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $30.00 per hour.  Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
