Senior Design Engineer (Outdoor)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Outdoor Unit) to support new product development (NPD) for air conditioner products, with a focus on structural design, cost optimization, and component sourcing.

This role plays a key part in ensuring design competitiveness, cost efficiency, and product reliability, while supporting mass production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural components for air conditioner outdoor units

• Create and maintain 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks

• Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for production

• Conduct cost analysis and drive cost reduction initiatives for components and materials

• Identify and source alternative components, materials, and processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency

• Ensure designs meet customer requirements and international standards

• Perform testing and validation to ensure structural performance and reliability

• Troubleshoot and resolve design and performance-related issues

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• 3-5 years of experience in air conditioner or HVAC product design

• Strong experience in structural design and product development

• Experience in cost analysis, BOM management, or cost reduction initiatives

• Proficient in 2D/3D design tools (SolidWorks)

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Good command of English
