About the role

The role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for Greenfield projects and handling indirect procurement requirements. The candidate will ensure timely sourcing, cost optimization, vendor development, compliance, and coordination with internal stakeholders to support project execution and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Category Management

• Handle procurement of indirect materials and services such as:

  • MRO/Capex/Expense

  • Admin and facility management services

  • HR-related services

  • Office supplies and consumables

  • AMCs and service contracts

2. Cost Optimization

• Implement cost reduction strategies.

• Standardize products and services.

• Develop rate contracts for recurring requirements.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with multiple departments to understand user requirements and ensure timely fulfilment.

4. Vendor Performance Management

• Monitor service level agreements (SLAs).

• Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.

• Ensure service quality and compliance.

5. PO & Payment Coordination

• Process purchase requisitions and issue POs.

• Coordinate with finance for invoice verification and payments.

• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong negotiation and commercial acumen

• Knowledge of CAPEX procurement (Greenfield exposure preferred)

• Understanding of contracts and tendering processes

• Vendor development and relationship management

• Budget control and cost analysis

• Good knowledge of Ariba

• Strong communication and coordination skills

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain Management

• 7–10 years of experience in procurement

• Prior experience in Greenfield project procurement is mandatory (for project role)

• Must have Greenfield experience
