About This Role:

  • Carrier HVAC seeks an experienced Quality professional to implement our Quality Management and Operating System strategy driving quality at the source and enabling facilities to meet their quality targets with Customer Focus assuring product integrity, managing quality objectives, new product development and process quality continuous improvement in our Residential & Light Commercial products.

  • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the quality engineering efforts for HVAC products across the Americas region. Reporting to the Americas HVAC Quality Director, the Regional Quality Sr. Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for our products. This position provides a platform to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovative quality initiatives, and make a significant impact on customer satisfaction. Candidates will find this role appealing due to the opportunity to influence product quality at a regional level and contribute to the development of cutting-edge HVAC technologies for our Residential & Light Commercial products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring the Quality Regional Strategy and the continued journey to develop a sustainable culture for Residential and Light Commercial manufacturing locations in the Americas.

  • Identify and standardize quality best practices across their region, working closely with the site Quality Managers and their teams.

  • Focus on continuously improving product quality, standardization and discipline into plant level processes and quality compliance.

  • Perform as manufacturing sites core support for leading the cross functional cadence in customer problem solving and in all forms of customer-facing interaction.

  • Participate in technical design reviews (both with internal manufacturing plants and suppliers)

  • Coaches and develops the site Quality teams in quality methods.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Discipline

  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial role

  • 3+ years of experience with a proven history of influencing others in a cross-functional matrix environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering is not required but preferred.

  • Fluency in English, Spanish is a plus.  

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.

  • Experience with PPAP core elements (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Experience with product engineering changes and new inspection technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience with Power BI for quality analytics, including the ability to interpret and leverage quality metrics to inform and drive decision-making processes.

  • Willingness to travel 15%, both domestically and internationally with a valid passport/visa is preferred.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
