About the role
This role will be Formalizing and deliver a supply chain strategy aligned with business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost optimization strategies. Managing Commodities strategically and generating YOY value chain benefit.
Key Job deliverables
Formalizing and deliver a supply chain strategy aligned with business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost optimization strategies.
Managing Commodities strategically and generating YOY value chain benefit. (Managing material productivity and commodity inflation)
Developing new vendor base for new products &conducting existing supplier risk assessment and managing it.
Knowledge and experience in new product development and products localizations.
Effective supplier management to ensure smooth production and services by having the SLA with them
Strong analytical capability to analyze the historical data to drive various initiatives such as localization, AVD, Dual sourcing, Payment terms, Inco-term etc.
Managing the team and keeping them engaged through setting up the annual objective and monitoring these for timely execution.
Ability to Reward & Recognize the efforts of the team members for their contribution.
Mapping the skill set of the team members in-order-to have the growth plan and balance the workload accordingly.
An unconditional mindset to improve the quality of products (supplier PPM) and services provided by vendors by visiting them and monitoring supplier performance.
Approach towards continuous improvement to keep the processes up to mark and achieve next level.
Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards (ISO & OHSAS), regulations (ISI & QCO), or other laws etc.
Organizing events like supplier meet, commodity super day, bench marking of products, supplier training, supplier visits etc.
Handling various internal / external audits.
Preparation of MIS / Dashboard and sending various reports in a timely manner.
Preparation of annual business plan for material productivity /capex and its execution.
Hands on experience with standard costing concept.
Knowledge and Experience in lean management tools.
Managing engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches by ensuring timely transitions of material to ensure smooth production flow and avoid dormant inventories.
Skills / competencies required
§ Team management and building a cohesive team.
§ Project management and timely execution in terms of launch of new products.
§ Previous factory experience in sourcing function managing various commodities.
§ Experience in driving Supplier evaluation and qualification programs (knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, APQP & QC Tools), understanding 3D and 2 D drawings.
§ Good knowledge ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
§ Ability to collect the data, analyze the same and interpreting it for further usage.
§ Customer Focus and understanding of market trends.
§ Product Benchmarking and Value engineering skills (VAVE, should cost analysis, benchmarking).
§ Proactive and result oriented.
§ Ability to work in multi-tasking and multi-cultural environment.
§ Developing and fostering relationships with Suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance and continuous improvement.
§ Interpersonal and interdepartmental Coordination skills.
Education Requirements
B.E./ B. Tech., MBA from Good B’ School
Experience – 15~18 years in HVAC industry
