Sr Mgr, Total Rewards

Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, Americas Community of Expertise (COE), the Senior Manager, Total Rewards, Latin America is responsible for developing and executing the long-term total rewards strategy for Latin America including Mexico, Brazil and Chile
Role Responsibilities:
Develop the region’s total rewards strategy to achieve business goals and objectives and to position Carrier as an employer of choice within Carrier’s global compensation and reward framework.
Partnering with vendors, brokers and the market intelligence team, understand the benefits landscape by country and design a market competitive, harmonized benefits offering by country. Continually monitor the benefits landscape to make design recommendations by country, considering market position, financial impacts and support of Carrier’s overall business strategy.
Develop pay and reward strategies for varying groups within the business using benchmarking and market analysis to ensure alignment to market position strategy.
Support HR and business leaders in the management of incentive compensation, driving business outcomes while providing tools and guidance and seeking opportunities for businesses to harmonize and simplify.
Working with the global total rewards compensation team, lead annual compensation programs such as our annual merit process and annual global incentive compensation programs. Support annual process through manager training, issue resolution, data validation, and partnership across key stakeholder groups including HR business partners, Global People Services, and HR Technology. Gather feedback from key stakeholders and influence process improvements.
Support the rewards communications strategy in the region, including communicating the employee value proposition and branding to drive employee engagement and retention.
Partnering with our Global People Services organization, ensure that employee-facing processes are streamlined and employee-friendly, while providing accurate outcomes for our vendors. Additionally, this role with continuously look for opportunities to simplify and automate routine processes.
Ensuring that the design of total rewards programs are compliant with country requirements. Partnering with HR business partners, provide consultative expertise in compensation program analysis & design across a diverse group of businesses, industries and go to market strategies. Working with the global total rewards team, develop and implement total rewards solutions to complex business problems. Understand business drivers and opportunities, balancing regional consistency and business flexibility. Make business-oriented recommendations to senior leadership and support implementation of approved recommendations.
Provide leadership as a change agent supporting the Total Rewards strategy and philosophy. Influence HR and business leaders in the region to adopt and champion new, simplified processes while driving accountability.
Support merger, acquisition and divestiture initiatives with leadership, HR business partners and various stakeholders for a successful integration and transition of benefits.
Consistently gather customer feedback and review Communities of Expertise (COE) processes to improve, automate and augment the quality, accuracy and value of the services and information provided. Keep both internal and external customers at the core of developing the total rewards strategy.
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred
8+ years of HR/total rewards experience with demonstrated competence in the management of benefits across the Latin American region, in particular Mexico, Brazil, and Chile
Experience applying total rewards expertise and influencing senior customers across diverse businesses, industries, locations, and demographics
Customer focused with the ability to deliver to internal and external customers while managing costs and execution
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex project plans with multiple stakeholders
Excellent analytical and organization skills with proven ability to make informed, data-driven decisions
Demonstrated ability to interface across all levels of the organization including executive leadership
Able to communicate verbally and in written formats in both English and Spanish, Portuguese a plus.
Strong project management skills and an ability to lead change management activities
Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Expertise with Workday preferred
CCP, GRP, SPHR, GPHR or other HR professional certification preferred
