About the role
This role is responsible for leading manufacturing operations by managing production teams, driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring production targets and financial objectives are achieved. The position oversees labor efficiency, resource utilization, production scheduling, and operational performance across multiple production cells, while promoting a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies to achieve production goals and meet operational targets.
Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, continuous improvement, waste reduction, attendance, 5S, autonomous maintenance, and employee development.
Manage workforce planning and labor resources in alignment with the financial plan and budget.
Analyze production downtime and provide support to resolve operational issues.
Lead weekly and monthly Root Cause and Corrective Action (RRCA) reviews to address performance gaps.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using the Carrier Excellence Operating System and Lean methodologies.
Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and operational procedures on the production floor.
Maintain discipline and adherence to organizational standards within manufacturing operations.
Monitor labor costs and operational efficiency against financial forecasts and budget expectations.
Manage and develop a team of Cell Leaders and production personnel.
Ensure quality-related requirements are completed, documented, and sustained.
Lead cost reduction and process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and profitability.
Direct production scheduling and work sequencing to meet delivery commitments and optimize productivity.
Resolve material and logistics issues to ensure uninterrupted production.
Monitor and improve performance, productivity, and output across multiple production cells.
Support manufacturing innovation and implementation of new production technologies and processes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address operational needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in production or manufacturing leadership roles.
Experience managing personnel, productivity, labor planning, and operational budgets.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, Core Tools, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational performance in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
English proficiency preferred.
