About the Role
Manager, Commodity Management & Sourcing (Indirect Categories)
Location: CMX G Plant — Hybrid (80% on-site / 20% remote)
Schedule:7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
This role leads the execution of indirect commodity and sourcing strategies, ensuring the best total value for Carrier: productivity, savings, supply reliability, and on-time delivery. Your work will directly impact internal customers by enabling professional services, marketing, advisory services, and HR services with the right suppliers under optimal conditions.
Key Responsibilities
As Manager, Commodity Management & Sourcing (Indirect Categories), you will be responsible for:
Strategy Execution: Implement indirect sourcing strategies aligned with business needs and service-level expectations.
Supplier Selection & Qualification: Develop processes that meet standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability; identify and approve new qualified sources.
Competitive Bidding: Conduct tenders among multiple suppliers, evaluating productivity, payment terms, and overall value.
Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate and award contracts within authorized limits; define terms that support cash flow and delivery commitments.
Cost & Performance Analysis: Analyze supplier operations and recommend lowest total cost options while maintaining quality and reliability.
Price Validation: Review proposals, financial reports, and supporting data to ensure reasonable and compliant pricing.
Internal Support: Collaborate with internal teams (Professional Services, Marketing, HR) for forecasting, service-level agreements, and best practices.
Requirements
We are looking for analytical, collaborative professionals with strong negotiation skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or commodity management (preferably in indirect categories).
Proven skills in negotiation and contract management.
Advanced English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
APICS / CPIM certification.
Experience in Professional Services, Marketing, Advisory, and HR Services categories.
