About the role
The Associate Engineer, Test & Validation is responsible for executing mechanical and electrical tests, psychrometry, instrumentation, and troubleshooting in laboratory environments, primarily supporting HVAC product validation. The role ensures laboratory key metrics such as On Time Delivery (OTD) of testing requests, safety compliance, and customer experience compliance are met. The engineer documents test results, maintains records, and supports equipment availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Associate Engineer, Test & Validation, you’ll be responsible for:
- Execute mechanical and electrical tests, including psychrometry and instrumentation, in laboratory settings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing processes.
- Prepare equipment for testing to ensure systems run according to specifications.
- Document test results and maintain applicable records.
- Measure and analyze equipment and processes to ensure production quality standards are met.
- Perform inspections for both in-process and finished systems.
- Identify process issues and recommend changes as needed.
- Use Carrier Excellence tools to drive continuous improvement.
- Support laboratory metrics such as OTD, safety, and customer experience compliance.
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
- University degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical, or related engineering fields (IME, Mechatronics, IMA, IEA, ICC).
- 6 months to 1+ years of experience in Test & Validation or HVAC laboratory testing.
- Advanced English (Mandatory).
- Experience with LabView, DAQ systems (e.g., KeySight), and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of measurement instrumentation (multimeter, pressure transducers, thermocouples, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder diagrams and electrical diagrams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and results orientation.
