About the Role

We are seeking a RTR Accounting Specialist to support Record-to-Report (RTR) Intercompany activities with a focus on delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and corporate policies. In this role, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to streamline accounting processes, support key controllership objectives, and contribute to high-quality financial reporting and compliance activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to make an impact within a global finance organization while mentoring junior team members and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

As a RTR Accounting Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

• Performing and reporting Intercompany accounting activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Supporting internal and external audit activities through the execution and reporting of key control processes.
• Performing financial analysis and delivering analytics for Intercompany projects and initiatives.
• Managing critical Intercompany activities related to balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.
• Supporting accurate and timely month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities.
• Confirming that accounting processes and controls align with US GAAP requirements and Carrier corporate policies.
• Collaborating effectively with internal and external business partners to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
• Supporting SOX compliance activities and controllership objectives across the RTR organization.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
• Coaching and providing guidance to junior team members within the RTR organization.

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Record-to-Report (RTR), Financial Analysis, Accounting, or related finance roles.
• Previous experience with Intercompany accounting analysis and reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance processes.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet corporate deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
• Experience with SAP, ECC6, and CFIN systems.

Although Not Necessary, It Would Be Nice If You Have:

• Experience supporting SOX compliance and audit activities.
• Previous mentoring or coaching experience for junior accounting professionals.
• Experience working within a shared services or global finance organization.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and finance transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to multinational corporate accounting environments.
