About the role
As a Sr. Purchasing and planning, you will play a key role in ensuring the continuity of supply for equipment and spare parts operations. This position is responsible for managing purchasing and demand planning activities, coordinating with international suppliers, and maintaining visibility of critical materials to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
You will work closely with Customer Service, Logistics, Sales, and suppliers to proactively resolve shortages, reduce backorders, and improve material availability across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Purchasing and planning, you’ll be responsible for:
Execute demand planning activities for equipment and spare parts, aligning commercial requirements with inventory availability.
Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers.
Monitor inventory levels, backorders, lead times, and material shortages to ensure operational continuity.
Coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics, Sales, and suppliers to prioritize deliveries and resolve supply chain deviations.
Maintain visibility of open orders, critical materials, supplier confirmations, and operational risks.
Prevent duplicate purchases, supply errors, and excess or obsolete inventory exposure.
Expedite supplier deliveries and follow up on shipments, commitments, and material receipts.
Support procurement operational processes including supplier communication, reporting, and purchasing analysis.
Requirements
We are looking for people who are analytical, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced operational environment. If this is you, get in touch.
As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or related field.
3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, demand planning, supply chain, or materials planning.
Experience managing purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and inventory control activities.
Experience working in dynamic operational environments with equipment, spare parts, or imported materials.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar.
Intermediate to advanced English skills for communication with international suppliers.
Strong analytical skills, sense of urgency, follow-through, and operational discipline.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Experience in manufacturing, HVAC, industrial equipment, or distribution environments.
Knowledge of inventory KPIs such as OTIF, Fill Rate, Backorders, or Lead Time management.
Experience supporting cross-functional supply chain operations in regional or global environments.
