Support Analyst – Shopify Commerce

Carrier’s Enterprise Digital Products & Solutions (EDPS) team is enabling higher digital customer experience capabilities throughout the enterprise. Through centralized investment in technology, talent, and business transformation, the team aims to solidify Carrier’s position as a leader in sales enablement, service, and digital commerce spaces.


This person will support, collaborate, and work closely with the business team(s), product, engineering, and implementation teams to support production operations (bugs and issues), roadmap commitments, and business initiatives. This involves understanding requirements thoroughly, supporting enterprise commerce applications, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring stable business operations. This position is mostly support related, but there will be opportunities to work on new enhancements and features.

Primary Responsibilities

·       Support businesses that are using Shopify and enterprise commerce platforms.

·       Monitor production applications, integrations, and commerce services.

·       Investigate and resolve incidents, defects, and production support tickets.

·       Perform root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes for recurring issues.

·       Support deployments, smoke testing, and post-release validations.

·       Debug and troubleshoot Shopify storefronts, Hydrogen applications, APIs, and integrations.

·       Support integration teams with data mappings and API troubleshooting between Shopify, ERP, PIM, and payment gateways.

·       Work closely with business users, product owners, developers, and vendors.

·       Work closely with global teams to provide support coverage across multiple time zones.

·       Support may be required during overlapping Europe and North America for business hours based on business needs.

·       Knowledge of ecommerce platforms and support processes.

·       Ability to manage multiple incidents and priorities simultaneously.

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·       Experience working within globally distributed virtual teams.

·       Positive, collaborative, and customer-focused mindset.

Basic Qualifications

·       3+ years of experience with Shopify, Shopify Plus, Magento, or similar ecommerce applications.

·       3+ years supporting enterprise-level engineering or commerce platforms.

·       Understanding enterprise ecommerce ecosystems including ERP, PIM, Analytics, and Marketing integrations.

·       Experience with incident management, ticketing systems, and monitoring tools.

·       Thorough knowledge of APIs, integrations, and web technologies.

Shopify Support Skillset

·       Front-end technologies: React.js (Remix), Hydrogen framework, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js for troubleshooting storefront issues.

·       Shopify Storefront API and GraphQL queries/mutations understanding.

·       Version Control: GitHub and source control workflows.

·       Shopify Plus exposure, Shopify Admin, Metafields, Metaobjects, and B2B functionality.

·       Ability to investigate API failures, integration issues, and data synchronization problems.

·       Understanding monitoring logs, browser debugging tools, and application performance troubleshooting.

·       Exposure to ERP, PIM, payment gateway, and middleware integrations.
