About the role
The Specialist in Process Transformation & Master Data will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency by integrating supply chain process transformation with financial performance insights. This role demands strong analytical expertise across procurement, sourcing, and category management, coupled with an understanding of operational finance metrics such as cost productivity, working capital, and spend optimization.
The Specialist will collaborate cross-functionally with global supply chain, procurement, and finance teams to drive process improvements, reporting standardization, and digital transformation initiatives that strengthen financial transparency and data governance across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Transformation & Data Governance
· Analyze and optimize procurement and sourcing processes to improve operational efficiency and cost visibility.
· Develop and standardize master data focusing on supplier, item, cost, and contract accuracy, ensuring alignment between supply chain and finance systems.
· Identify process gaps in spend reporting and addressable versus contracted spend tracking; recommend scalable process improvements.
· Partner with supply chain finance and procurement leadership to enhance financial transparency in productivity reporting and performance management.
2. Reporting, Governance & Financial Insight
· Manage reporting for procurement and cost analytics, linking operational metrics to financial outcomes (e.g., savings realization, cost avoidance, price variances).
· Manage governance for procurement and SC financial KPIs such as cost productivity, supplier performance, purchase price variance, and inventory impact.
· Collaborate with Supply Chain Finance teams to support productivity project reviews (e.g., WAVE to PSR transitions) and validate savings pipelines.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
· Work closely with global sourcing, category management, and supply chain finance teams to align reporting processes, cost definitions, and performance objectives.
· Provide regular updates to Supply Chain and Finance leadership on procurement performance and transformation progress.
· Partner with Carrier’s finance teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of procurement-driven savings in alignment with business financial goals.
· Provide consistent updates to leadership and stakeholders on process improvements and reporting outcomes.
· Promote effective communication and collaboration across teams and global regions
· Engage directly with sourcing, category managers, and procurement teams to gather requirements and drive alignment to transformation goals.
· Support cross-functional initiatives for supplier qualification, compliance documentation, and contract management
4. Technical Competencies & Analytical Excellence
· Leverage Excel and other relevant tools to enhance reporting and analytical capabilities.
· Apply strong analytical skills to break down complex data sets into actionable insights.
· Focus on the automation and centralization of reports to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
· Drive analytical projects targeting procurement savings, addressable vs. contracted spend, and process optimization.
· Utilize ERP and category management tools to support procurement-driven analytics and transformation projects.
Requirements
Master's/Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
10+ years of experience in supply chain/manufacturing with significant exposure to data/process transformation, procurement, sourcing, and category management.
Strong understanding of SCM, Operation financial metrices and master data governance processes
Proven experience managing projects and mentoring teams
Power BI and ERP (SAP/Oracle) advanced working skills preferred
Excellent business communication (verbal & written), interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management
High learning agility, accountability, and effective collaboration skills
Interpersonal skills - demonstrated ability to work in a global environment, manage teams, and engage stakeholders across regions
Track record of leading transformation initiatives, managing complex data sets, and driving strategic improvements in supply chain operations
Deep hands-on experience with procurement analytics, sourcing projects, category management, and master data quality initiatives
