About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer – Aftermarket, Modernization to join our team in Dubai.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and growing Carrier’s HVAC modernization and retrofit business by identifying opportunities to replace aging, inefficient, or obsolete HVAC equipment and systems with high-efficiency, reliable, and sustainable solutions.

You will manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from identifying and developing retrofit opportunities through technical solution development, proposal preparation, customer presentations and negotiations, to successful order closure.

The ideal candidate combines strong HVAC technical expertise with commercial acumen, excellent customer relationship skills, and the ability to develop value-based solutions that address customers’ operational, energy-efficiency, sustainability, and asset-modernization needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Engineer – Aftermarket, Modernization, you will:

• Identify and develop HVAC modernization and retrofit opportunities through customer visits and market activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with building owners, consultants, contractors, and facility management companies.
• Visit customer sites to assess existing HVAC equipment and identify replacement and modernization requirements.
• Develop and present suitable technical and commercial solutions, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, controls, pumps, and other HVAC systems.
• Prepare proposals and manage assigned opportunities from initial enquiry through follow-up, negotiation, and order closure.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve assigned sales, order intake, and margin targets.
• Work closely with internal engineering, service, and operations teams to deliver suitable solutions and proposals.
• Maintain accurate sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts in Carrier’s CRM and support the overall modernization business plan.
• Support the identification of energy-efficiency and sustainability opportunities that can help customers reduce energy consumption and operating costs.

Basic Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the HVAC industry, preferably in HVAC sales, aftermarket, retrofit, modernization, or project business.
• Good technical understanding of HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, controls, and associated mechanical systems.
• Basic understanding of HVAC retrofit, replacement, and modernization projects.
• Good commercial awareness and willingness to develop sales and customer management skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Based in Dubai, UAE.
• Valid UAE driving license and own car, as regular customer and site visits are required.

Preferred Qualifications

It would be an advantage if you also have:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer relationship and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the UAE HVAC market and competitive landscape.
• Understanding of energy-saving solutions, sustainability, and building efficiency.
• Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals.
• Experience working with building owners, consultants, contractors, or facility management companies.
• Experience supporting HVAC equipment replacement or system upgrade projects.
• Good understanding of HVAC equipment selection and basic application requirements.
