About the role

The Sr. Manager, Commodity Management & Sourcing is a pivotal leadership role focused on significantly improving supplier performance, elevating customer satisfaction, and achieving substantial cost savings and avoidance across the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep operational expertise and a strong track record of driving results within a dynamic supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sr. Manager, Commodity Management & Sourcing, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring supplier service assurance by proactively managing and maintaining high service levels from all key suppliers.

  • Managing supplier relationships and performance through regular reviews and improvement plans to optimize quality, on-time delivery, cost-effectiveness, and overall partnership.

  • Leading complex supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, optimize contracts, and drive competitive pricing while maintaining quality and service.

  • Applying strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity analysis, and service metrics—ideally with hands-on experience on the production floor.

  • Leading strategic planning initiatives between production facilities and suppliers to ensure seamless operations and material flow, while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in supplier management, procurement, commodity management, or related roles, with a proven track record in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience leading high-performing teams.

  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a results-oriented drive to achieve supplier objectives.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity analysis, and service metrics, ideally with substantial time working on the production floor.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.

  • Proven track record of driving significant supplier performance improvements and delivering measurable cost savings.

  • Familiarity with industry standards, quality management systems, and advanced supplier performance methodologies.

  • Advanced English proficiency.

  • Availability to travel 30%–35% of the time due to U.S.-based responsibilities.

  • Experience in multinational or complex manufacturing environments

  • Knowledge of programming or scheduling.

  • Exposure to digital supply chain tools or ERP systems
