About the role
As a Senior Facilities Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing facilities and infrastructure projects that directly impact plant robustness, operational continuity, safety, and efficiency. This role oversees renovation, expansion, improvement, and cost‑saving initiatives while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
In addition, you will supervise the optimal operation of buildings, offices, and general services, providing technical and administrative leadership to internal teams and external contractors to support a safe, reliable, and sustainable operation.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Facilities Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Planning, coordinating, and supervising facilities and infrastructure projects across all phases (concept, engineering, execution, and close‑out).
Ensuring efficient use of resources in alignment with approved budgets, schedules, and project scope.
Overseeing the operation of buildings, offices, and general services.
Managing infrastructure and peripheral systems, including compressors, chillers, substations, and electrical, pneumatic, gas, water, condensate, and sanitary networks.
Supervising compliance with preventive and corrective maintenance plans for facilities areas.
Managing KPIs and maintenance performance metrics, evaluating team effectiveness, and defining improvement plans.
Administering and controlling maintenance, project, and personnel expenses.
Leading and managing contractors and service providers for construction and infrastructure maintenance activities.
Ensuring compliance with defined scopes, timelines, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
Supervising engineering designs and construction details through certified external engineering firms.
Preparing executive‑level reports, documenting actions, progress, and changes.
Coordinating and leading technical and administrative meetings.
Providing technical and administrative guidance to support timely and informed decision‑making.
Requirements
We are looking for proactive, results‑driven professionals with strong leadership, project management, and technical capabilities.
As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical‑Administrative Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure and General Services.
At least 2 years of experience in maintenance of industrial plants and buildings.
10 years of experience in project management.
Experience leading facilities improvement projects involving buildings, compressors, chillers, and substations.
Strong experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
Solid knowledge of electromechanical installations and facilities maintenance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.
Availability to work flexible schedules when required.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Experience in new manufacturing processes (e.g., welding, aluminum) and special equipment infrastructure.
Direct leadership of engineering teams (2 or more engineers) and contractor groups.
Experience strengthening plant robustness and long‑term infrastructure strategy.
Knowledge of ISO / TS 16949, OSHA, ASME, DIN, and ANSI standards.
