About the role

This role is responsible for developing and executing short- and long-term aftermarket procurement strategies to support the Aftermarket RCD business. The Procurement Specialist will build a strong cross‑functional network and foster collaboration with suppliers, the broader supply chain organization, engineering, quality, and product management across the aftermarket ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for aftermarket parts, aligned with overall procurement and business objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends within the aftermarket HVAC industry.

  • Supplier Management: Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, localization, and relationship management. Maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure high‑quality materials, competitive pricing, and on‑time delivery.

  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers. Manage pricing with regional vendors to ensure Carrier’s interests are protected while cultivating mutually beneficial partnerships.

  • Cost Optimization: Implement cost‑reduction initiatives and monitor market dynamics to capture cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality.

  • Collaboration: Partner with cross‑functional teams such as Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations to understand requirements and ensure procurement alignment.

  • Supplier Performance Management: Define and track supplier KPIs, regularly evaluate performance, and collaborate to resolve issues.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and guide aftermarket‑assigned vendors within a cross‑functional environment. Provide strategic direction and influence stakeholders.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are strategic, analytical, strong negotiators, and hands‑on. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Sourcing within large international organizations, preferably in aftermarket or resales

  • 5+ years of advanced user experience with MS Excel & Word

  • 2+ years of experience in SAP and Power BI

  • Ability to travel within North America up to 20% (international as needed)

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Master’s degree in supply chain, Business, or Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in Sourcing / Supply Chain for Aftermarket

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving significant cost savings through strategic sourcing, supplier optimization, and contract negotiation

  • Strong analytical and market research skills with the ability to identify opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong presentation and influencing capabilities

  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification

  • English communication (written and verbal)
