- Implement and manage automated backup solutions for AWS services like EC2, RDS, S3, and EBS.
- Ensure data retention policies are enforced across cloud services.
- Manage patching schedules for AWS based systems and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Automate OS level patching using tools like AWS Systems Manager.
- Ensure the latest security patches are applied to all instances and resources.
- Set up alerts and thresholds for infrastructure and application performance metrics.
- Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis on issues related to the operating system (Linux/Windows) running on AWS EC2 instances.
- Manage and maintain OS-level configurations and services such as DNS, SSH, and firewalls.
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks at the OS level, including CPU, memory, and disk issues.
- Manage IAM roles, policies, and permissions to enforce the principle of least privilege.
- Perform regular audits of IAM roles, policies, and users for security compliance.
- Manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, and route tables.
- Document all infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate and present regular reports on system performance, security compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Use AWS Config and other tools to ensure resource compliance with tagging policies.
Nice to have Skills:
- Configure and manage AWS networking services such as Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway.
- Implement and manage AWS security services such as AWS WAF, AWS Shield, and AWS Security Hub.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Experience with multicloud environments (Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
- Experience with containerization technologies (ECS, EKS, Docker).
- Continuously monitor and optimize AWS resource usage and costs.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
