Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead SDET to spearhead our automated and performance testing efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automated test frameworks and tools to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will lead a team of QA engineers, collaborating closely with development teams to enhance our testing processes and ensure timely delivery of reliable software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Strategy Development: Formulate and execute a robust automation testing strategy that enhances product quality and accelerates the release cycle.
- Framework Design and Implementation: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient automation testing frameworks across various platforms, including web, mobile, and APIs.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and mentor a team of QA engineers, promoting best practices in testing, automation, and software development methodologies.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
- Test Execution Oversight: Manage the execution of automated tests, ensuring timely reporting and thorough analysis of results; drive resolution of defects and issues.
- Integration with CI/CD Pipelines: Ensure seamless integration of automated tests within CI/CD processes, optimizing for speed and reliability.
- Performance and Load Testing: Lead initiatives to incorporate performance and load testing into the automation framework, ensuring applications can handle anticipated user traffic.
- Tool and Technology Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and implement new testing tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, frameworks, and results; present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, Playwright).
- Experience with RDBMS and SQL , SQL Server
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
