Position overview: South Asia Pacific (SAP) region is seeking a strategy professional responsible for the full range of high impact strategies to drive profitable product growth. This role will provide an opportunity to have an unparalleled impact on the SAP direction. As the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) Leader, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, overseeing transformation efforts, including management of Joint Ventures (JVs) within the region, as well as the Mergers & Acquisitions strategy within the SAP remit. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and strong leadership skills to ensure successful execution of business objectives and sustained growth.

The Position

  • Develop and refine the organization's overall strategic plan in alignment with long-term objectives.

  • Strategically assess portfolio and drive key interventions to enhance product growth

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry disruptions to identify growth opportunities.

  • Provide guidance and stir to key transformational initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, driving innovation, and improving organizational effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption of new processes or technologies.

  • Monitor progress, track key performance indicators, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure successful transformation outcomes.

Relationships

Reports directly to:  South Asia Pacific Managing Director

Peer Relationship: South East Asia Pacific Leadership team, Country Managing Directors, Aftermarket and Functional Leaders, Global M&A teams

The Candidate

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related fields. Master’s is strongly preferred.

  • Experience leading Strategy & Transformation in the MNC environment across the South East Asia Pacific market

  • Must have experience leading Manufacturing & Go-To-Market Strategy & Transformation

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.

  • Knowledge and previous success experience of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry best practices in strategic management ideally including joint venture strategies and M&As.

  • Excellent communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire teams, drive change, and deliver results in a dynamic cross functional environment.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with a focus on driving value and achieving business objectives.

  • You are eager to have a high degree of ownership, directly framing and influencing strategic decisions.

Position will need to be based in Gurgaon, and the candidate is expected to be able to travel up to  30% of the time.
