POSITION SUMMARY:

Carrier is seeking a Strategic Pricing Analyst to join the Residential HVAC Pricing team and help shape Carrier’s future profitability. The mission of the team is to facilitate strategic and profitable growth. In a changing regulatory environment, it is critical Carrier’s new products are priced to maximize profitability while ensuring market competitiveness across a wide breadth of brands and product lines. This requires strong data analysis skills and a strategic mindset to focus on the details while maintaining a firm grasp of the bigger picture. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop strategic and sustainable pricing strategies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the formulation of pricing strategy for new product introductions.
  • Facilitate meetings with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to gather inputs critical to pricing development including costs, value drivers, project timing, competitive landscape, and market requirements.
  • Combine internal and external inputs with historical data to analyze, set, and calculate the impact of strategic pricing which maximizes company and channel profitability while maintaining consistency among market segments.
  • Present pricing strategy at internal governance meetings.
  • Manage implementation of pricing strategy including training of pricing team members on features, functions, and benefits of new products.
  • Refine and streamline pricing processes for new product induction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a complex business environment with a focus in pricing, market analysis, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years in pricing or financial analysis role.
  • 1+ year experience with complex customer service, price negotiations and/or sales.
  • 2+ years’ experience with monthly reporting metrics, data analysis, & data manipulation.
  • Ability to sift through large amounts of data, perform statistical analysis, identify critical information, and develop actionable solution options.
  • Ability to summarize data in an understandable way to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Advanced level skills with SAP and Business Objects. Data Warehouse knowledge preferred.
  • Proven capability to communicate professionally in written and verbal format.
  • Proven capability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Pricing / sales experience a plus.
  • HVAC industry knowledge a plus.
