About this role

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Sourcing Specialist is responsible for souring and procurement activities that ensure on-time and on-cost launch of new programs; works effectively with program managers and suppliers to achieve successful phase in and phase out deadlines while meeting material excess and obsolete (E&O) targets; develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships and implement sourcing strategies to continuously improve supply chain resiliency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project manage supplier activities in support of program milestones and production launch

  • Track material forecasts and project timelines to ensure alignment on phase in and phase out activities

  • Determine inventory stocking and logistics strategies for suppliers with lead times longer than market driven customer lead time requirements

  • Prepare and process request for quotations, requisitions and purchase orders

  • Integrate global category strategies with program deliverables

  • Implement process improvement initiatives to streamline NPI supply chain responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chain

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management skills

  • New Product Introduction program experience

  • Strong negotiating skills related to contracts and pricing

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, OEM, and supply chain management
