About this role
The New Product Manufacturing Engineer will lead cross-functional manufacturing support in new product development, assess and provide input to manufacturability of new product designs, develop and integrate process and equipment required for new product introduction and promote effective communication between various functions and levels of the organization to ensure the effective integration of new products into the Transicold Truck/Trailer portfolio.
This is an onsite role based out of Athens GA.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the introduction of new products into the Athens Manufacturing Facility from development through production release
- Assure the manufacturability of new product designs meet safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Develop resource requirements, capital expense needs, project timelines, etc. related to manufacturing for new product programs
- Organize trial builds of new units in the lab and on the production lines
- Lead activities with cross-functional team in: - audit of new unit build - documentation and follow up of design improvement ideas - development of material delivery and presentation - new tools, fixtures, and equipment needed - production layout changes - develop operator instruction
- Hands-on involvement in unit builds in: - the use of tools - operator training - material organization - potential rework of components
Basic Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a technical discipline with 4 years experience in manufacturing
or
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2 years experience in manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Detail accuracy
- Cross functional and project management leadership
- Training and presenting exposure
- Adapt communication skills based on the target audience
