About this role

Experienced professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Supply Chain Management. May manage moderately sized projects for supply chain management. Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on Supply Chain strategies and operational goals. Responsible for making significant improvements to supply chain management processes and systems. Works to influence other functions/vendors to support Supply Chain strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier and their performance to ensure uninterrupted supply and quality
• Create local/regional/global savings opportunities
• Support the delivery of working capital targets and creditor targets
• Ensure control and proper responsibility for expenditure of company funds
• Develop and implement business procurement strategies for assigned services, consistent with global or local procurement plans
• Negotiate agreements with suppliers for services within the value of spend
• Establish project management discipline for identifying and tracking tasks, resources, milestones and measures for projects
• Communicate with key stakeholders on projects to ensure mutual understanding of objectives and priorities
• Executes key elements of Supply Chain plans in terms of operations, specific interventions, related costs and timelines, in line with organizational strategy.
• Identifies gaps in processes related to supply chain; Conducts root cause analysis and identifies strategies to build the gaps. Implements identified processes to closure.
• Gathers inputs on prices of different raw materials from primary and secondary sources. Supports identification of opportunities for outsourcing and cost reduction.
• Implements guidelines on vendor management.
• Adheres to import, export, and excise regulation as per compliance.
• May manage planning and warehousing processes for order and procurement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or with supplier negotiations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Requires advanced to expert knowledge obtained through advanced education, combined with experience
• Substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems to make enhancements within job area
